MTC Cronin has published twelve collections of poetry (plus several in translation), the latest being The Flower, The Thing (UQP 2006). Her work has won and been shortlisted for many major literary awards, most recently the CJ Dennis Prize for Poetry and the Award for Innovation in Writing at the South Australian Festival Awards. Cronin has studied arts, law, literature and creative writing and, after working in law during the nineties, she began teaching writing in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. She currently lives in Maleny with her partner and three young daughters and is completing her doctorate The Catastrophe of Meaning­ which consists of ten interlinked books of various genres exploring poetry, law, justice and desire. Forthcoming collections include Notebooks of Signs & 3 Other Small Books (Shearsman Books, UK).
